File Description | JavaScript is a clien-side script language implemented as part of a Web browser in order to provide enhanced user interfaces and dynamic websites. JS is the filename extension of JavaScript files, which may include functions that validate form fields, operate windows, create drop-down menus, and so on. JavaScript is also widely used in applications outside Web pages, including PDF documents and desktop widgets. JavaScript was designed by Brendan Eich of Netscape under the name "Mocha", which was later changed to "LiveScript", and finally to "JavaScript" mainly because of the influence by the Java language. |
